INSTANT OUTFIT: Red Eye

Along with my news comes the instant outfit inspired by the travels ahead. To reach New York in time to catch the Fashion Week rush - I will be heading out on a RED EYE non-stop flight.

Los Angeles to New York!

Flying overnight means comfort (second) and style (first). Comfort SECOND? I know it's ridiculous.. but come on.. when the destination is NYC.. style must always be FIRST.

Instant Outfit inspires two ideas - Bohemian Pilgrim and Urban Pioneer - both looks tied together by a large tote bag ready and available to carry the Society Girl essentials - Laptop and Camera.

I must say that when I'm flying back into my fabulous city, comfort >>> style. Don't get me wrong, I might wear an amazing ring. But I go for the homeless look with a baseball hat. It's fantastic and makes me feel so much better than having to try. The people who try on planes [like girls who wear heels and mini skirts] just look like idiots to me.

Oh I'd be happy to arrive in NY with either outfit. I would love the 1st look with comfy pants underneath or the 2nd with eye glasses or sun glasses and a low ponytail.

Thanks for all the feedback. The dress is from Topshop - I don't know if it is for sale anymore... but you could always try vintage shopping to find something similar. I used this image based on a maxi dress that I found at a local thrift store. They aren't too hard to find. Good luck and let me know how it turns out.

Lila,

unfortunately, I don't know where the sweater is from. I get these images from polyvore.com and usually they have links to the shop you can buy it from. This one did not have a link. Sorry.
